Mr. Kalamandalam Rajasekharan has bagged many prestigious awards for his outstanding performances and valuable contributions to the dance form of Kathakali. His honours and credentials include A.D Boland Medal from Kerala Kalamandalam, Thulasivanam Award, and Kaladarpanam Award including several awards from Kathakali clubs. He is also the recipient of Senior Fellowship from Department of Culture, India and Certificate of Appreciation from Middle-sex University, London.

He has brought out VCDs on two leading kathakali characters in the plays he had enacted on stage, namely; Urvasi in Kalakeyavadhom and Lalitha in Kirmeeravadhom.
